Daniel Smith Drafted to Play Tyndall Air Force Base Dec. 14
Parlor Records’ Daniel Smith and his band will play Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, FL for the annual Wingman Day ceremonies, Friday, Dec. 14.Smith will perform at the request of the base commander, Brigadier General Tod D. Wolters, who issued the invitation after hearing the singer’s recording of “Thank You (A Tribute To The American Soldier).” The song, which Smith wrote, appears on his current album, American Made, and has been adopted as the theme music for the Thank You Foundation in Cincinnati, an organization that champions the causes of American veterans.
As a gesture of appreciation, Gen. Wolters has arranged for Smith to take a test flight in an F-15 fighter aircraft.
After doing his show for the troops, Smith and his crew will then serenade the brass that evening for a special performance at the base officers’ club.
